Carville Day Nursery in Walthamstow
Welcome to Carville Day Nursery in Walthamstow. Our nursery was established in 1997. The children’s day nursery in Walthamstow is in a great location, within walking distance of Walthamstow bus, train and tube stations. We are open 51 weeks of the year (closed between Christmas and New Year and Bank Holidays) Monday to Friday from 8am until 6:30pm.
The nursery is divided into 3 areas:
- A small, cosy baby room with adjoining changing area. It is well equipped with separate cots for each child.
- A large toddlers room.
- A dedicated pre-school room for children leaving for school in the next 12 months.
There is also a well-equipped garden, which is unusually large for a nursery our size.

Carville Day nursery takes children from 3 months up to 5 years old. We are registered with Ofsted and have a good rating.
We provide a safe and caring environment in which children can develop at their own pace, make friends and learn through play. The children’s learning and development is carefully planned according to the governments early years foundation stage (EYFS)
Our premises are cheerful and spacious and as the nursery is on the ground floor level, there are no stairs to climb. The room opens onto a large garden surrounded by beautiful trees which provides an attractive, safe and secure play area for children.
We ensure the safety and security of the premises and our equipment by checking both every morning. An indoor and outdoor risk assessment is carried out daily to ensure the nursery is safe for the children. (Regular fire and food hygiene checks are also made)
